Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my Aunt Virgie today. I'm so grateful to have an aunt like you, you're so generous to me and most of all, you love me. I'm wishing you more blessings to come, good health, happiness and a colorful love life. I hope that you can be able to get your green card soon. You're always in my prayers. I LOVE YOU... Once again, happy natal day. Let's enjoy it while it lasts.

Why I Like T-Shirts

No one can say that we didn't live through the 60s and have a blast doing it. I mean we had the most amazing time with Hendrix and Joplin and Led Zeppelin and other bands. We always used to wear custom t-shirts too. My friends and I used to get some of the most psychedelic shirts you can imagine. They faded fast but that didn't stop us from loving them. Today you have to go pretty far to get a psychedelic shirt. But this site lets you upload whatever you want. It could be a slogan, such as a political campaign slogan or a funny comment. As they say, "Express yourself!"

Visits and Restaurant Food

My grandparents visited us yesterday. We took them to the seafood restaurant since it is one of the favorites of my grandfather. We celebrated his birthday a few days late because we didn't see them on his actual birthday. He was so happy to get his favorite fish, the grilled branzino fish. Everything went smoothly. In fact, I had a great time with them. I also liked my food, the clam chowder and crackers.

Too Good To Be A Site

The fact is that today you need to be very smart about where you place your hard earned dollars. This is especially true with best web hosting. They can help you save. They have many different listings. They also let you see what you get before you invest. To me, as a family person, this is important for two reasons. First, I want my computer dollars to be well spent. Second, I need to know what I'm investing in. This site can be one of the best ways to get to know what's out there. By that I mean they have lists of all the appropriate and tested sites. They even let you click on the links and jump to the other pages. This is a very easy way to search. This is about the best way in my opinion. I know I don't have too much time to make calls. I have to work fast. I need certainty. And I like their site. More than that I cannot say, except that they are well designed too and they have a good color scheme. They can't be faulted for lack of candor. They are what they claim. I would say that this is an excellent example of what a site could be.

Why I Like the Cuban Restaurant

I love the Cuban restaurant down the street because they have a cigar room upstairs. The Avo cigars are delicious because the fragrance reminds me of my recent trip to the restaurant. The room is filled with maps and magazines for men. But kids like it too. They also have a bar and nice leather chairs. I would like to live there!

How to Have Family Fun

Al Bielek is a speaker I saw at a conference some years ago, actually it was probably in 2005. He spoke about the making of a ship invisible. In other words he claimed he was working on a project to make a battleship invisible during World War II. This, of course, is an absurd proposition. Which is precisely why his talks are so much family fun. Everyone can enjoy hearing him speak.

How I Shop Today

I may be young but watch me shop! In other words I am not too young to shop. In fact ShopWiki is one of my favorite sites. They have everything from lights to home furnishings to more than you can imagine. I tell all my friends but they can hardly believe all the things they have online. And the nice thing is that they are objective. They don't just have lights that some advertiser pays to advertise. They have every imaginable light fixture that's online. They find it and then they show it to you! All for free too. How nice is that!

The other day I bought some nice lamps there. They were tall desk lamps. I like them very much. You can see them in some of the photos from this family site where I show my desk and room. They are very Tiffany-like and well-designed. I hope to buy more of them soon.

Who Am I To Argue with T. S. Eliot?

Who am I to argue with T.S. Eliot, after all? I mean, the man wrote some of the most notable poems of the last 100 years. More than that he was a Harvard man. That, and he went to England to spend the rest of his life. That, and he had a terrible marriage to an overly religious woman. Plus he was married to a woman who liked to read Reader's Digest. This infuriated the highbrow Eliot and he took matters into his own hands and promptly subscribed to Foreign Affairs and then began carrying on with a French woman.

Better than GPS? Are You Kidding? No, I'm Serious.

Forty people cannot be wrong. They and they alone know the value of exit signs that are visible from a good twenty or so feet. They can tell you. They have seen the signs and they know the way to go. They are not trucking down the road unaided. They are helped by the directions. It's better than a GPS. That's my view.

Swing

I love going to the playground because I can go on the swing and meet some new friends there. The only thing that I didn't like was when the swing was getting busy. What I mean is if there's a lot of kids that want to get on the swing. There are only 4 swings, 2 for the babies and 2 for the toddlers. So we take turns and wait. Mom said that it is better to go in the playground around 3:00 pm so that I can ride the swing alone and not feel guilty because there's nobody waiting.

The Future Is Here For You Now

If you are looking for a new Web site service why not check out website hosting. They will give you reviews of different sites. I myself am very young but I can tell you that having a good Web hosting service is crucial. When I get older I'm going to have my own Web sites and I will certainly do my research. I want to know what works and what is the best hosting service for my needs. Right now those needs are slim indeed. But with time that will change. In time I'm sure I'll find that I wish to have more information than Mr. Owl provides. That means one thing. Data. Throughput. And energy to compute. In other words, I'll want to know not only how to get online but how to stay there in style. That's what the future holds. Next time I'll tell you more about control panels and how to use them to enhance your online experience. Because the key to having a good Web page is having a good underlying foundation and support staff. This is what you need to compete in today's fast and savvy world. Before you know it you too will be on the top of the computer dynamo.

Happy Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday was the wedding anniversary of my parents. We went to New York City to celebrate it. We also shopped at Macy's. It was very crowded there, especially on 34th Street. Mom took a look at a LV handbag but it was very pricey. So dad gave her a dress and flowers for her gift. She was so happy to receive it. Then, mom bought a book for my dad that he had wanted to read for a long time, Transcend by Terry Grossman, M.D. and Ray Kurzweil. He was very excited to get it since it will arrive very soon by expedited shipping.

Why We Don't Always Visit Colorado in August

Every year we make a point to go to Colorado. But this year we decided, instead, to stock up on our very own pond supplies. In Colorado we used to visit the famous pond where Hubert C. Thaddoux would fish for cod. But by obtaining our own pond supplies we can usually recreate the exact conditions that he faced. That includes the same conditions down to the salt content of the water. This is a fun exercise for any outdoorsman.

Swimming

For the first time I went swimming in the pool. I really enjoyed it. My parents were watching me. They took turns and each watched me for a few minutes. I had a good exercise in the water by kicking my legs. This is a big help for me since I have a desire to become a good swimmer. I can't wait to get fit and stronger. In fact when my mom took me underwater I held my breath and closed my eyes without even being told or instructed. I think I have a natural aptitude. Thank god my father read the pool rules. It said no floats allowed in the water. In the photo you can see how we followed the rules.

Diet Pills

My mom bought herself three bottles of diet pills last week. Her goal is to lose weight starting this month. She is also watching the food that she eats. In my opinion, the best way to lose weight is self discipline. Avoiding those sweet foods and carbohydrate intake and with a little effort and exercise. I'm sure it will lead on to better health for everyone. My father is going to take the pills too. They contain fucoxanthin.

Sara Teasdale

The poet Sara Teasdale was a depressed individual who took her own life at the point where she could no longer write. She, like her lover, Vachel Lindsay, destroyed herself. Here are some words from Teasdale. The unfortunate young girl had a deep depression. It ruined her life. Of course she could have sought therapy, but she did not. Instead she sought and found oblivion. (Photo: painting of Teasdale.)

No one worth possessing
Can be quite possessed;
Lay that on your heart,
My young angry dear.

John Steinbeck and Travels with Charley

Every year at this time I reread John Steinbeck's novel Travels with Charley (1960). That book, however silly, is a favorite. It is about a writer who drives across the United States to see the country one last time before he dies. The concept of long distance moving would have appealed to him. He lived like a moving man. And he had the wanderlust that all writers have. He is remembered today for his love of travel. Had he needed to move, he would have used a good moving company.

Hiking Adventure

I went to the North Face and saw the clothes. They are clothes for a hiking adventure in any climate. The hiking adventure's beginning always starts with getting the gear together. I have done this many times with lists and agendas. The clothes at the store were hiking related, and we added them to the agenda. They are hiking clothes for summer. They are also stylish clothes for adventures. In the summer they have different hiking clothes.

In the winter I like hiking clothes and adventure gear that I can wear in any climate. I like to buy hiking clothes in the winter for use in summer. No one can tell me that hiking is not a fun sport. It is my favorite sport.

Freckles

In the summer you can develop freckles. This is because the sun stimulates cells to produce pigment. These freckles will often disappear in the winter. The cause of freckles is related to genes. I do not have freckles, yet. But infants and babies don't usually have them. They are more common on children than on older people or infants. I hope I develop some freckles later in life. I think they're cute. (Photo: Young Marilyn Monroe, with freckles.)
