Best Diet Pill

My mom is now thinking about what people claim is the best diet pill. She is very eager to lose her weight. But sometimes I can see her eating too much ice cream and chocolates. I know that this kind of food is hard to resist. I'm hoping that my mom can achieve her goal of losing her weight soon. I know it takes time to work for this goal. But there is also something called the magic of believing that could help her. If you believe, it will happen.

Bumper Cars

Bumper cars is one of my favorite games. What I like to do is play with friends. We each get in our car. Then we start the game. The traffic is heavy. It always gets crowded. They have a lot of people on the road. Then you drive. You step on the gas. You turn the wheel. You try to steer. But cars come at you. It could be your friend. It could be your brother or sister. It doesn't matter. Your try to turn but can't. You bump. That is the game of bumper cars. It always makes me laugh. I love this game so much. My gosh, they better not let me behind the wheel of a real car!

This June was a bad month for weather. I mean it rained all the time. I can't remember a worse June. But still it's going to get hot in July and August. I know that when I go in a taxi or a car I want it to be cool. I can't stand sweating in a car. It makes me feel so claustrophobic. Wine Testing

My parents and I went to wine testing last Friday. Actually, that was the second time that we went. First, was held at the Marriott Hotel here in our neighborhood. Then, this time was held in the Cosi restaurant and with a live band of N'Kenge. She is a great singer. In fact, she also a guest singer of President Obama. I'm so lucky that I saw her in person. Unfortunately, my mom got drunk after the party. She drink too much... By the way, here's the pic of the singer.

The Red Cross Knight

The Red Cross Knight is my favorite character in poetry. He is the hero of The Faerie Queene, which my dad is reading to me. The other night he read a stanza at a wine tasting. Everyone was drunk and few people paid attention. But afterward one of the attendees told him that he enjoyed hearing how the poem was dedicated to Elizabeth I, the daughter of Anne Boleyn. At any rate, the Red Cross Knight in Edmund Spenser's poem symbolizes Great Britain and he is a hero of mythic proportions. He always tries to do the right thing, but he makes many mistakes and becomes involved with numerous women who disguise themselves as good when they are really evil schemers. The Faerie Queene

My father is reading Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene. Sometimes he reads me passages from the poem. It's a story about a knight who is trying to rescue the parents of a beautiful princess from an evil dragon who has imprisoned them in a dungeon. The words are fun to hear. One of the funny things about this poem is that it's written in an old fashioned language. But I like the way it sounds and I think you would like it too.

My Kite Flying Skills

My friend is a kite maker. He makes yellow and blue kites and also prints instructions for how to fly them. Assembly is easy. Then you can go out to a field and fly the kite on a windy day. There are some people who believe this is a terrific pastime. I am one of them and I like to think that I have a good sense about which kites are the best. I know that as time goes on I will become even more interested in kites. That's how my mind works. It could be that by now I'm an expert also on things like Atrophex. Happy Indepence Day

I'm glad that I celebrated this holiday together with my parents. We went out to see the fireworks. It was quite amazing watching the show. It was also very crowded. People were screaming behind me. I definitely had a great time. I especially liked the flashing pacifier I got. But too bad it had a part that was a choking hazard. Maybe I can have one when I'm older.
